In Yerevan the clashes of protesters with the police

Several thousand participants of the protest action on Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan has tried to break through a police cordon to approach the Parliament building tomorrow, where we should pass voting on the appointment of former President Serzh Sargsyan to the post of Prime Minister.

According to TASS, the dissenters urged opposition politician Nikol Pashinyan.

“I and my fellow members want to go to work, and other people come with me,” said Pashinyan, but guarding the Parliament police have not missed the MP, calling his actions a provocation. Then the protesters attempted by force to break through the cordon, and then started stickys police. Law enforcement officers used tear gas, reported about the victims.

Today the Republican party of Armenia and Dashnaktsutyun party nominated Serzh Sargsyan, who is in the period 2008-2018 head of state, the Prime Minister of the country. This happened seven days after the inauguration of the new President of Armen Sargsian, who became a symbol of the final transition of Armenia from a presidential to a parliamentary Republic. After the inauguration of a new leader by the head of Armenia became Prime Minister, which until now was Karen Karapetyan.
