Poroshenko: Russia should be deprived of the right of veto in the UN as “country-aggressor”

Square head Petro Poroshenko on Friday, April 13, said that Russia should be deprived of the right of veto in the United Nations because Russia is an “aggressor state,” according to “112.Ukraine”.

Thus, according to the Ukrainian President, the UN needs immediate reform.

“It is necessary to deprive of the right of veto the aggressor. You also need to increase the effectiveness of the security of other alliances, including NATO”, — said the Ukrainian leader.

Poroshenko also called “wide open door for Ukraine” in security of the Western military bloc.

The Ukrainian President believes that Russia often uses its veto power to block resolutions of the UN Security Council. He reminded that Russia blocked in the security Council the draft resolution of the United States to investigate chemical attacks in Syrian Arab Republic.
