Johnson has accused Russia of trying to discredit an independent investigation of the OPCW

The Minister of foreign Affairs of great Britain, Boris Johnson called ridiculous offer of Russia on joint Russian-British investigation into the “case Skripal”, voiced on Wednesday at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the OPCW. As previously reported, it has not received the required 2/3 of votes because of opposition from allies, the UK and the USA

According to Johnson, Russia was trying “to discredit the work of independent international observers on chemical weapons”. He is confident that Moscow from the very beginning, seeking to hide the truth about the poisoning of a double agent, ex-GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal and his daughter in Salisbury.

Meanwhile, Russia is seeking the answers to their questions in London and the OPCW, while continuing to insist on the involvement of its experts to the investigation.
