Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Netherlands is called the States that had supported the joint statement on the investigation of poisoning in British Salisbury ex-GRU officer Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia.
Statement presented at the meeting of the Executive Council of the Organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons (OPCW). In addition to Russia itself, this is Belarus, Syria, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Venezuela, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Nicaragua, and Cuba.

As a result members of the OPCW has not supported Russia’s proposal for investigation of the incident in Salisbury.
In the OPCW Executive Council consists of 41 country. Decisions on the issues on the merits, it must be adopted by two-thirds.
The day before postpred the Russian Federation to the OPCW Alexander Shulgin said that the case of poisoning a British agent and ex-GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia reminds the attack.
