Trump found no grounds for pardoning of Russian pilot Yaroshenko

The Commissioner for human rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova received from the United States a response on behalf of the President of the United States Donald trump on his appeal on the issue of the convicted Russian citizen Konstantin Yaroshenko, which reported that the White house finds no grounds for his pardon.

According to Moskalkova, a response was received from the Deputy Secretary on behalf of the American leader, Donald trump.
“He said that the investigation was conducted with respect for democratic rules and Yaroshenko convicted lawfully and reasonably, and he finds grounds for his pardon”, — quotes its words of RIA “news”.
Konstantin Yaroshenko was captured by the US secret services in 2010. According to the testimony of the Liberian law enforcement witnesses, the pilot was subjected to severe torture. The detention of Yaroshenko became the first in the history case, when the American special services have arrested a Russian citizen on the territory of a third country and secretly brought to the United States.
In the U.S., he was charged with smuggling drugs. A native of the don had allegedly been transported through Liberia to the States four tons of cocaine from Venezuela. U.S. court Yaroshenko was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
