The Russian authorities plan to cut defense spending


The Kremlin has announced plans to reduce defense spending. According to the press Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov, Russia’s defense budget will be reduced, after 5 years it is planned to spend at least 3% of GDP on defence purposes. About this Peskov said in an interview to RT TV channel.

“Subsequently, the military budget will be reduced, as a percentage of GDP”, — said the press Secretary of the President.
