NATO will not launch the Fifth article of the Treaty on collective defense because of the conflict between London and Moscow. After the poisoning of former GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal the British authorities declared intention to regard the incident as an aggression of the Russian state.

“The launch of the Fifth article is a disproportionate response to a similar incident, get the support of all allies will be impossible”, – told TASS an anonymous source in Brussels.
Recall, the former GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal, previously convicted for treason, and in 2010 was exchanged for a group of Russian spies. After his release, he moved to the UK.
A few days ago in the British city of Salisbury Skripal and his daughter were found in an unconscious state. Later British authorities declared that they had been poisoned, and the Prime Minister of great Britain Theresa may has stated that the traces lead to Russia.
