The foreign Ministry protested to the British Ambassador because of allegations in the case Skripal

The Russian foreign Ministry’s website said than ended the call by the British Ambassador in Russia Laurie Bristow at the foreign Ministry on Tuesday.

“First Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Vladimir Titov was declared a decisive protest in connection with the charges by the British authorities sweeping accusations against Russia of involvement in the poisoning Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia”, – stated in the message.

The foreign Minister also told the British Ambassador that Russia is not involved in the incident, and the actions of the British authorities are openly provocative.

“Moscow will not respond to the ultimatum of London as long as the Russian side will not be provided samples of chemical substances, referred to by the British investigation,” says Moscow.

In addition, the foreign Ministry demanded that London continue to act in accordance with the Convention on the prohibition of chemical weapons, which involves a joint investigation.

The foreign Ministry also described the incident as yet another unscrupulous attempt of the British authorities to discredit Russia and warned of retaliatory measures in the case of the adoption by Britain of sanctions against Russia
