Pentagon chief: Russia is keen on arms race with itself

Pentagon chief James Mattis expressed his opinion about the words of Vladimir Putin, spoken in the address to the Federal Assembly. “I watched President Putin’s speech, and, like many of us, I focused on the last third,” said Mattis reporters aboard a military plane.

But he admitted that he dubbed Putin’s information did not come as a surprise to American commanders.
