Ukrainian leader Petro Poroshenko appealed to the organizers and participants of events dedicated to the anniversary of the tragic events in Sahrani.
In his address the President of Ukraine said that the two countries have much in common: “In the history of our relations there is much more that unites us than what divides us”.
“Over time, our country chose the right formula for reconciliation — “to Forgive and ask forgiveness”. This formula is still relevant today, despite the attempts of some irresponsible politicians to deny it,”— the document says.
The massacre in the Polish village occurred on March 9-10, 1944.
