Ukraine will give Russia in Hague court over Maritime dispute

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said on Twitter that his team has prepared a lawsuit against Russia in the framework of the UN Convention on the law of the sea. According to him, we are talking about violations of the rights of Ukraine in the Black and Azov seas, the Kerch Strait.

The head of the Ukrainian diplomacy said that the lawsuit will be sent to the Hague court on Monday.

The appropriate arbitration Kiev initiated in September 2016. The permanent court of arbitration in the Hague gave a deadline for the preparation of the claim until February 19, 2018. Ukraine claims relate to the use of the Crimean shelf and gas production, the construction of the bridge.
