The Israeli Parliament has not recognized the Armenian genocide

The Israeli Parliament (Knesset) during a preliminary vote on 14 February rejected a bill on recognition of the Armenian genocide, writes the Jerusalem Post.

It is noted that the bill was supported by the leader of the liberal party “Yesh Atid” Yair Lapel. He believes that the representatives of the people of the Holocaust, there is no reason not to recognize the Armenian genocide.

Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Israel Tzipi Hotovely noted that her Department will not take any position on this issue because of its complexity, because of possible diplomatic consequences.
