“I am absolutely convinced that it is thanks to them Ukraine will become a member of the European Union and NATO member,” – said Poroshenko. According to the head of the state has changed the attitude of Ukrainians to these two “respected organisations”.
Poroshenko also noted that the merit of the protesters and that during the Euromaidan protests, the country “finally came from the Soviet Union and the Russian Empire” and “returned” to Europe.
“Heroes “Heavenly hundreds” were the driving force behind the return of Ukraine into the European family of peoples. They deserve that we, their contemporaries, appropriately perpetuate the memory of the “revolution of dignity”, – said the President.
It is worth noting that independent authorities have not once talked about his desire to become a part of the military Alliance. Poroshenko has publicly promised to “aggressively work” to in the foreseeable future Ukraine to become a NATO member.
