The CEC recommended that the First channel to stop the show “Putin»

The Chairman of the CEC of Russia Ella Pamfilova recommended that the First channel to postpone the screening of the documentary “Putin” directed by Oliver stone. Plans of the TV channel had earlier drawn sharp criticism from other participants of the presidential race.

“Offer of JSC “First channel” to postpone further screening of the film “Putin” to the end of voting in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation, that is, to show the rest of the series after the election campaign,” – said Pamfilova at the meeting of the CEC, reports TASS.

Recall, a documentary film directed by Oliver stone starred for several years. The tape was divided into several series, and appeared on the screens in the summer of 2017.

The first channel showed the film in its broadcast. 12 Feb “Putin” was back in broadcasting “First channel”.

This provoked sharp criticism from opponents of the incumbent in the presidential race. They said that thereby the First channel runs illegal campaigning in support of Putin.

At the same time, Pamfilova said that the film is not urged to vote in the upcoming election for a particular candidate.
