As noted in the defense Ministry, a number of publications that publish rumors about the bombardment of the airbase “Hamim” with reference to anonymous sources allegedly “close” to the Ministry of defense or General staff.

In one of the Russian media appeared information that in the new year’s eve from 31 December 2017 1 January 2018 militants attacked a Russian air base in Syria Hamim with the help of eight drones.

The defense Ministry stressed that this material is not true all from the time and date of firing to the method of attack and its actual consequences.

“The author has repeatedly published false information or speculation on the activities of the Ministry of defence, trying, for reliability, to attribute to their own conclusions separate military experts,” – said the representative of the Ministry of defense.

“I want to stress that on 1 January 2018 base worked as planned. No attacks, raids, or other incidents was not”, – stated in the defense Ministry.
