Ex-economy Minister told about the plans of the West “to finish” military-industrial complex of Ukraine


The Western powers are not interested in the development of Ukrainian industry. About this on air of the TV channel NewsOne, said the former Minister of economy of Ukraine Viktor Suslov.

According to him, after some time in the Square will be “finished off” the whole military-industrial complex, and will only enterprises with a low level of technological equipment. Suslov suggested that Western countries do not need a developed Ukraine, and quoted former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Jeffrey Pyatt, said in 2016, the United States see in Kiev “agricultural superpower”.

“Goodbye, Ukrainians. Your task is to plow and sow, but not to develop the industry,” said Suslov, adding that he understands why we should not expect any investment in high-tech sectors of the West. “Neither Europe nor the United States does not need competition from developed Ukraine” – said the economist.

In January 2018, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said that the agricultural sector makes up 17-18% of the gross domestic product of the country. According to official data, in Ukraine there are more than 79 thousand agricultural enterprises.
