Chelyabinsk meteorite urged not to touch it because of bacteria eating extraterrestrial matter

Bacteria on a meteorite, of course, have a terrestrial origin and came to him as a result of the fact that it has touched a lot of people. However, these microorganisms for a long time was nourished by the substances contained in the meteorite, which makes their future behavior cannot be predicted. Thus, the expert is of the opinion that touching the famous meteorite may present a threat to people.

Experts speaking at the same conference that Sergey Kolisnichenko, also noted that the water in the lake Cherbakul where the meteorite fell, today is clean enough and safe.

The meteorite, later called “Chelyabinsk”, entered the Earth’s atmosphere five years ago, on 15 February 2013. The shock wave from the explosion blew out Windows of many houses.
