Yavlinsky has demanded from Putin to clarify the situation with the death of Russians in Syria

The candidate in presidents of Russia Grigory Yavlinsky published on the website of the party “Yabloko” my appeal to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

He noted that recently in the world media, as well as sources in social networks reported about the deaths of hundreds of Russians in Syria after the impact of the coalition under US leadership.

“Meanwhile, Russian officials received conflicting comments”, – said Yavlinsky.

He called unacceptable the absence from Russia of a clear recognition, or official denial of the fact of death of the fighting in Syria of Russian citizens.

“I appeal to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin with a demand to clarify the situation. I am sure that this event should be discussed publicly and openly. If the mass death of Russian citizens occurred, the appropriate officials, including the commander of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, are obliged to announce it to the country and to determine who is responsible for this.

I also need to explain why Russian citizens are taking part in ground military operations in Syria, despite claims by the President and defense Minister on the withdrawal of Russian armed forces of this country that the civil war in Syria ended,” – said in a statement Yavlinsky.
