Saves from dangerous diseases: scientists have talked about the benefits of beer

Beer can benefit and help in the fight against dangerous diseases, found American biologists. Scientists claim that the drink be consumed to those who are struggling with excess weight, high blood pressure and diabetes. However, researchers emphasize, to talk about the benefits of beer only in moderation.

As published in the journal Scientific Reports article American biologists from the University of Oregon, the beer can benefit in the fight against obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes. Useful action is contained in hops, the substance xanthohumol. To such conclusion scientists have come after a proper examination.

The experiments were carried out on mice fed on the so-called “Western diet”, that is, food with high fat content. Such a diet leads to obesity, high blood pressure and other serious health problems.

During the experiments, treated with hydrogenated derivatives of xanthohumol mice showed reduced insulin resistance factor leading to type II diabetes. In experimental rodents, also suppressed the susceptibility to the caller in the body, the hunger, the leptin. In this regard, the mouse had felt full and ate less food, lowering the damage fatty foods harmful for the body.

Earlier the newspaper published an article about a similar study on mice who were given moderate doses of alcohol. It turned out that test subjects were less susceptible to processes that lead to the development of dementia than rodents in the control group. But it had not mentioned the fortress used in the experiments of the drink.
