Embassy of the Russian Federation said about inhumane conditions of detention Levashov in USA

The Russian Embassy in the United States criticized the conditions of detention in U.S. custody in Bridgeport (Connecticut) citizen of the Russian Federation Peter Levashov, whom he calls “another victim of the “hunting” of us intelligence for Russians worldwide.” Diplomats said that Levashov was placed in a cell alone the size of 2×2 meters, where there is practically no lighting. Because of the constant noise from the adjacent chambers and the lack of the mattress he is deprived of sleep, say there. Communication with prisoners and calls to relatives are prohibited.

“As a result of inhuman treatment of health of the Russian citizen have deteriorated. Despite the fact that P. Y. Levashov was examined by a prison doctor prescribed medication he is still not issued,” – said the Embassy.

Russian diplomats urged the state Department and the U.S. justice Department to intervene in the situation.

Levashov last week extradited to US from Spain. American authorities have accused the Russians of ransomware, the creation of a network of compromised computers, identity theft.
