The Ambassador of the Russian Federation: the humanitarian situation in the DPRK deteriorates due to sanctions


Russian Ambassador to Korea Alexander Matsegora made a presentation at a closed meeting of the Committee of the UN security Council. After the speech, the diplomat spoke to reporters in new York and spoke about the impact imposed on Pyongyang international sanctions. According to him, the humanitarian situation in the country, it is almost impossible to deliver food, medicines and medical equipment.

“The humanitarian situation is deteriorating. There are several aspects, including today it is almost impossible to deliver humanitarian aid, including food, for the suffering North Korean population,” – said the Russian Ambassador.
