Poland’s President has promised to sign “the law on Holocaust”

The President of Poland Andrzej Duda said he intends to sign the law providing for criminal responsibility for the charges of the Polish people involvement in the Holocaust. After that, the head of state intends to send a document to the constitutional court of the country, writes “Kommersant”.

In late January, the Polish Senate adopted a number of amendments to the law on the Institute of national remembrance in Poland. According to the amendments, criminal liability is introduced for the use of the phrase “Polish death camps” and denial of the Volyn massacre and propaganda of the ideology of Ukrainian nationalists.
