Media: the body of the pilot of su-25 by Roman Filippov delivered to Russia

The Russian authorities managed to complete the operation for the repatriation of the body of the pilot of su-25 Roman Filippov, who died heroically in Syria to fight with terrorists, according to informed sources. To return to Russia the remains of the pilot helped Turkey.

That the body of the pilot was taken to Russia, RBC reports with reference to own sources in the defense Ministry and the presidential administration of the Russian Federation. Officially, the defense Ministry has not yet commented on.

A source in the defense Ministry said that together with the body of the deceased was taken part of the wreckage. Earlier, the Russian Agency sent to Turkey’s official request to assist in the recovery of the wreckage. As noted in the defense Ministry for the country of interest, the engines of the su-25, as required to establish exactly which weapon was hit by a car. RBC, citing a source reports that the Turkish side had just assisted in the return of the bodies of the pilot and part of the wreckage.

“There is a warning to relatives that the body returned to Russia,” – said in turn the source of RBC, close to the presidential Administration.

However, one of interlocutors of the edition reported that the body was brought on 5 February.
