The UK authorities promised to make a “tough life” Russian oligarchs

Serious complications to stay in the UK may have the rich foreigners. London has decided to fight against corruption from different countries, who now live freely in the Kingdom for the laundered money. The Deputy Minister of internal Affairs of great Britain Ben Wallace has warned moneybags, including from Russia, that requires to explain the origin of the assets.

“When we get to you, come for you, your assets, and we will create an environment that you have to live in difficult conditions”, – quotes the Times of the words of the Deputy Minister.

The publication notes that the UK has already entered into force the law “About criminal Finance”, which gives the authorities the right to demand from asset owners is the explanation of their origin. Law enforcement officers have to make a dozen lists of rich people who will be sent the appropriate notice. The exception to “politically exposed persons” will not be done.

Separately, the Wallace referred to the Russian oligarchs and business “Landromat” about the withdrawal of large sums from Russia through Western banks, many of which are registered in the UK. Now the study of all materials of the case continues and Wallace warned that law enforcement officers know that “all plans” and will not allow that kind of “this happened then”.

.”Inquiries about the status of property of unknown origin should be used against everyone from the local drug dealer to an international oligarch or foreign criminal,” added Wallace.

He explained that if a Deputy from a country where not very big salaries, buys multimillion mansion in Knightsbridge (London) and will not be able to explain how he got such funds, then this property will be arrested and sold, and the proceeds will go to funding law enforcement.
