Russian super-heavy rocket launched into space in 10 years


Space industries begin to develop a conceptual design for the space rocket complex of the carrier rocket of superheavy class (KRK STK). A decree on the establishment on the East of this complex was signed this week by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

As reported by “MK” in RSC “Energia”, which is a leading developer of KRK STK, jointly with other enterprises of the Russian space Agency, such as the Samara space-Rocket center “Progress” and FSUE TsENKI, they will have already in the first phase, in the period from 2018 to 2019 to develop a draft design for a complex of the carrier rocket, to determine the design of its component parts, to prepare a feasibility study.

The concept of creating a KRK STK assumes the maximum use of already existing practices, and in the design of most of the heavyweight rockets – basic elements and technologies that are currently being generated booster middle class “Soyuz-5”.

In 2020, the second phase of the creation of the AAC. For the next eight years, specialists will need to perform research, development, design and survey and construction and installation works. The first flight test “shortage” will begin, according to the plan, 2028. The brief is that it should ensure the excretion of useful cargo weighing up to 90 tons into a low orbit and not less than 20 tonnes on the lunar polar orbit.

According to experts, the new super-heavy rocket will help Russia in the development of the moon, deep space exploration, the creation of space complexes, asteroid protection, etc.
