Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that, despite the earthquake that happened during the meeting of the intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian economic Union (EEU), all the agenda issues were discussed in a constructive and friendly atmosphere. Recall that after 15.00 local time in Almaty felt tremors of a magnitude of 3.7 points. Hotel wall, where gathered the heads of governments of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, a little trembling, treacherous chandeliers swayed above the heads of high officials, but no one was hurt.

No visible damage or deformation of the structures also occurred. Premieres don’t even really have time to be scared and not to adjourn the meeting.
According to Medvedev, the earthquake occurred at the moment when the table discussed the resolution of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus under the number 666. “This, of course, leads to certain thoughts,” joked the LADIES. However, all the necessary decisions, he said, was reviewed and signed.
Ruling under Satan’s room taken by the Belarusian authorities in August 2015, is currently one of the most controversial national documents of the EAEU countries. It introduces mandatory sanitary-hygienic examination of the goods coming to Belarus from the countries of the Union, and thereby violates the rules of the Customs code. The authorities are forcing the importers to undergo testing in their laboratories, despite the existence of certificates of conformity of the goods to the requirements of the EAEC.
Before travelling to Almaty, the Russian Association of consumer goods manufacturers complained to Dmitry Medvedev on the situation and asked to discuss the matter with the Belarusian Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov. They believe that the decision No. 666 creates unfair competition and the barriers to the functioning of the internal market of the Eurasian Union.
The LADIES at the press conference on the results of the intergovernmental Council recognized that the problem really exists: “In our opinion, the 666 Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus imposes certain restrictions”.
“My Belarusian colleague convincingly explained why such decisions were taken: to all sorts of rubbish on the market is not dragged. And rightly so. But, on the other hand, this restriction,” said he. According to him, to find a balance between protecting private interests and the creation of a common market is the most difficult task that one has to solve the EEU. Nevertheless, the work on the removal of restrictions will gradually continue. Another way members of the Union, said Medvedev, does not exist.
It is not clear whether the unstable seismic situation in the future plans of the Russian Prime Minister, who, as reported by local media, had planned to stay in Almaty for the weekend to go snowboarding at the local ski resort. The press service of the government this information does not comment. The Kazakh authorities have warned the population that the resorts will be closed for public skating, allegedly due to work on the prevention of avalanches.
