The editor of the publication Strana.ua fled to Austria

On the website of the Ukrainian edition of “Country is” an appeal to the President of the country Petro Poroshenko, which reported that the chief editor Igor Guzhva was forced to go to Vienna, and asked Austria for political asylum.

“We emphasize that Igor Guzhva went to Austria after he had expired the measure of restraint was determined by the court, and he received the legal right to leave Ukraine,” reads the editorial note.

Guzhva intends to continue to lead the publication from abroad.

We will remind that earlier Guzhva was detained on the case of extortion, he called the case was fabricated because of the criticism by publishing the actions of the current Ukrainian authorities.
