Biologists have learned that orca to speak human

Professionals were aware that orcas are able to remember and reproduce the sounds they hear from each other. However, confidence that these creatures can imitate human speech, the authors of the study originally was not. However, rare for mammals the ability to imitate heard sounds interested researchers, and they decided to conduct an experiment.

For the record, you can alternately listen to the words spoken by man and animal. It is best to have orcas turns to say Hello, sometimes with her singing the English greeting sounds almost as if it really said. Quite like a human it looks and the first “attempt” orcas count to two, to listen to which can be approximately on the tenth second. After that, however, many animals produce sounds resemble human speech except very vaguely.

Biologists believe that their study, in particular, helps to better understand why different populations of killer whales talk to each other through various “dialects” and exactly how these dialects are formed.

The results of the experiment dedicated to the scientific paper, published in Proceedings of the Royal Society B.
