Putin joked in response to his poprawitsja Mikhalkov

Planning to run for another term the President of Russia Vladimir Putin during a meeting with the Trustees recalled the aphorism on the theme of patriotism.

“In our country always, I want to reiterate, there have always been those who said that patriotism is the refuge of scoundrels and so on and so forth,” he was quoted saying by RIA Novosti. The head of state noted that this stamp for a long time.

Director Nikita Mikhalkov has decided to correct the President, noting that the phrase prervana and has an entirely different meaning. “Phrase is: patriotism is the last refuge for a scoundrel” – he said.

Putin responded with a joke, asking: “who are you people of culture?»
