Media: Assad asked the s-400 to protect it from the Israeli air force

According to the Lebanese newspaper “al-Diyar”, the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad wanted to purchase a batch of air defense systems s-400 from Russia to protect its territory from attacks by the Israeli air force.

Moreover, the publication reports that Assad in conversation with Putin has declared that in case of air force attacks Israel, Syria will strike at the international airport named Ben-Gurion. As noted by the Arab media, Damascus has threatened the Kremlin with a deterioration of relations in case of refusal to sell anti-aircraft systems.
