In the state Duma responded to the Ukrainian accusations of plagiarism against Pushkin

State Duma Deputy Ruslan Balbec expressed confidence that the Ukrainian writers fail to question the historical authenticity of works of Russian literature. He was commenting on accusations of Mikhail Bulgakov and Alexander Pushkin, who allegedly stole ideas from European authors.

“The following indictment of Russian literature would become her alleged plagiarism of Ukrainian authors and “blatant cheating” in the way Russian Ukrainian tales and village gossip,” – said the Deputy.

In his opinion, it is possible that modern Ukrainian authors will soon begin to rewrite the famous works of Russian classics.
