Scientists from the University of Washington, found that mosquitoes remember the smell potentially dangerous prey and avoid it. According to scientists, this observation will help to develop new tools to combat mosquito bites.
According to experts, mosquitoes choose who to bite, not randomly. The majority of mosquitoes “specializiruetsya” on certain vertebrate species and gives preference to specific individuals. Experts in the past have attempted to combat malaria and dengue fever using genetically modified mosquitoes.
