Patrushev accused WADA and the IOC in the collapse of the Olympic movement

The Secretary of the Russian security Council Nikolai Patrushev in St. Petersburg at the opening ceremony of the traditional volleyball tournament dedicated to the Day of complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade criticized the actions of WADA and the IOC,

“During the procedures of the Olympics, even the war stopped. And as far as we know, the Olympic movement is separated from politics,” he said, adding that now the opposite happens, as WADA and the Anglo-Saxons instead of sports politics.

“And what WADA does, and the fact that the Olympic Committee has gone on about them is the first step, in my opinion, to the collapse of the Olympic movement”, – said Patrushev.

He also expressed the hope that in the future, these structures come to their senses and make the right conclusions.
