The letter, which Sobchak has urged the Russian politicians to present a United front to promote the early release Titieva, was published on her Instagram on January 19. The journalist noted that the head of “Memorial” in prison for “fraudulent charges” and blamed the Chechen leader for the review of the human rights defenders as “people without a nation and kind.”

However, according to Kadyrov Sobchak did not realize that the head of the Republic is unable to release the suspect, which investigators seized drugs, because they do not have the necessary permissions.

“She’s a presidential candidate and not know that I have no such powers (…) That she’s stupid, I don’t understand her. How do such stupid people come from?” — said the head of Chechnya in an interview with the Daily Storm. However, he added that “everyone knows that the son (Titiev) addict”, and supposedly even has confirmed.

Kadyrov also said that Titieva prior to his arrest did not know neither he nor the Chechen people. “After he was detained, raised around the world, the noise, that’s when I heard about it. If he is a human rights activist, I did not know about that? Ask the inhabitants of Chechnya, if they had heard about him? If so, I never in my life the people will not work”, — said the politician.

Oub Titiev headed the human rights center “memorial” after the murder of Natalia Estemirova. The human rights activist was arrested on 9 January in Chechnya. During the search of his car police allegedly found a bag with marijuana. Titiev pleads not guilty and insists that the drugs were planted on him. January 11, the court arrested him for two months.
