Poroshenko discussed with the special representative of the United States questions for peacekeepers in the Donbass

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has held a meeting with US special envoy Kurt Volker, in which were discussed the issues associated with the introduction of peacekeepers in Donbass and the liberation of the captives. Also, the parties in light of the overall strategy for restoring sovereignty of Ukraine discussed the law on reintegration.

Ukraine and USA have expressed serious concern over the lack of progress in the implementation by Russia of the provisions of the Minsk agreements, reported on the website of the Ukrainian President.

The parties also noted that Russia, showing the will to resolve the conflict, must agree with the placement of peacekeeping troops in the “occupied” Donbass, including parts of the Russian-Ukrainian border.
