Medina: “Stalin’s Death” is perceived as a mockery of the USSR and the victims of Stalinism


The Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky said that I could not agree more with the fact that older people may perceive the “Death of Stalin” as “offensive mockery of the Soviet past of the country that defeated fascism, the Soviet army and of ordinary people — and that the contrary, even the victims of Stalinism”.

As reported in a press release the Russian Ministry of culture, Medinsky said that censorship in the country, and he is not afraid of critical remarks on this account after acceptance of the decision to revoke the distribution certificate for the film.

He also added that the Ministry has decided “to send the materials to additional comprehensive legal expertise.
