According to close to the Kremlin source, the meetings will “for the country, for unity”, but at the same time they may be “directed against us sanctions.”

In the latter case, all depends, however, on the desire of the speakers, said the source, adding that rallies can participate and Putin himself. In his headquarters is, however, officially do not confirm, saying only that plans are “in development”. Declined to comment and a spokesman for Putin, Dmitry Peskov.

Recall that a similar scheme was developed in the pre-election situation in 2012, when February 4, Putin delivered in the Luzhniki stadium with a call to “die in Moscow”.

In the current year 2 Feb — the official anniversary of the battle of Stalingrad — Putin will meet directly in Volgograd. Rallies 3 Feb now due to the fact that on this day I received a formal report on the outcome of the battle.
