Erdogan and Putin discussed the operation in ‘ afrīn


According to the Anadolu Agency, the presidents of Turkey and the Russian Federation Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin discussed by telephone the situation in Syria.

As reported a source in Erdogan’s administration, the leaders exchanged views on the operation in ‘ afrīn. In particular, Erdogan told his Russian counterpart that “operation Olive branch” will help to preserve the integrity of Syria.

The Turkish leader said that attaches great importance to collaboration and coordination with Russia on Syria.

Both leaders confirmed that they will continue joint efforts for the Congress of netdialog Syria, which is scheduled in Sochi.
