At the PACE called for an end to the suffering of civilians in Ukraine

The parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) adopted a resolution “On the humanitarian consequences of the war in Ukraine”, the document was submitted to the Lithuanian parliamentarian Egidijus Vareikis.

Given the PACE according to statistics, nearly 4 million Ukrainian citizens in need of humanitarian assistance. The document also States that as a result of armed clashes in the East of the country killed more than 10 thousand people.

The international organization urged countries to exert political efforts in order to end this conflict and the suffering of the civilian population.

PACE also asked the Kremlin to “stop providing financial and military support to illegal armed formations on the territory of Donetsk and Lugansk regions”.
