President Petro Poroshenko during the solemn actions on the occasion of day of conciliarity of Ukraine admitted that on the day of birth received a leaflet Petliura called “Moscow lice. Thinking uncle Simon about how Moscow lice feed on Ukraine and what they need to do.” Who exactly gave him such a gift, the head of the Square did not specify.
Petro Poroshenko invited the Ukrainians to read a few books, in particular the work of Petliura, who, according to the politician, has a symbolic name “Moscow lice”. The Ukrainian leader stressed that this brochure “is not xenophobic because it has a self-critical section “NIT””.
In addition to Petlyura, Poroshenko strongly recommend the citizens to see the “Memories” of Hetman Pavlo Skoropadsky, which “were amazed”. Also, according to the President, “would be instructive to look through the more Makhno” (Nestor Makhno — anarchist, Creator of “the Revolutionary insurgent army of Ukraine” — ed.).
Simon Petliura was the main leader of the troops of the Ukrainian people’s Republic, the head of the Directory of Ukrainian people’s Republic. He participated in the battles against the red Army. Petliura was murdered in Paris on 25 may 1926 in revenge for Jewish pogroms in Ukraine.
