In the state Duma on billions of dollars of claims Moldova: squeeze peacekeepers will not work

The intention of the Moldovan authorities to demand that Russia billions of dollars for Russian military presence in Transnistria is an act of confrontation against Russia and the world community. This opinion was expressed by Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on defense and security Yuri Svitkin.

Svitkin in comments to RT reported that Russian peacekeepers carried out their duties in Transnistria for its intended purpose. Just their presence makes possible peaceful coexistence in the region, said the Deputy.

The Parliament of Moldova does not want to obey the country’s President, Igor Dodon, stated Switchin. According to him, Chisinau is now looking for an external enemy in Russia, and does so “at the behest of the West, the United States.

“But all attempts to squeeze our peacekeepers, in my opinion, doomed to failure,” he added.
