The Turkish General staff announced on Saturday that the armed forces of Turkey 19-20 January launched a series of strikes “on terrorist targets in Northern Syria”.

Terrorists in Turkey called armed groups of the Syrian Kurds from the party “Democratic Union”. According to the Turkish military, the Kurds have made provocative attacks from the border district of Afrin.

Turkish side also noted that the actions of its army is based on the law on self-defence
