Member of the Council on civil society development and human rights, journalist and political analyst Nikolay Svanidze will work in the Working group on information disputes and other questions of information support during the election campaign on elections of the President of Russia — the official name of a structural unit of the CEC.
The group was created on 13 December last year, the CEC States that its objective is “control over observance by participants of the electoral process order and rules of the voter information campaign during electoral campaign”.
The decision to include Svanidze, the group was taken at a meeting of the Central election Commission on January 19. Speaking to colleagues, the Secretary of the CEC, Maya Grishina said that the group on information disputes are already working representatives of the professional and expert community. The show will now be enriched by the journalist Svanidze, delegated to it by the presidential Council on human rights.
Nikolai Svanidze is not the only journalist in the composition of the working group on information disputes. It includes the chief editor of the newspaper “Moskovsky Komsomolets”, the Chairman of the Union of journalists of Moscow Pavel Gusev, the Dean of the faculty of journalism Elena Vartanova, Chairman of the “Union of journalists of Russia” Vladimir Solovyov, a correspondent for the Russian Internet publication Znak.com Ekaterina Vinokurova, Deputy Director of the social and publicistic programs “the First channel” Pauline Zitomirska, Director General of ITAR-TASS Sergey Mikhailov, other representatives of mass-media.
