Nazarbayev: trump proposed to postpone the negotiations on the Donbass from Minsk

Trump proposed to postpone the negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in the East of Ukraine from Minsk to another location. Such a proposal, the US President announced in a conversation with his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev. According to him, both leaders agreed that “Minsk-1” was stalled. It is obvious that there is a need in the new dialogue, added Nazarbayev.

The us President Donald trump proposed to move from the Belarusian capital in a new location, the negotiations to resolve the conflict in the Donbass. He said this during a conversation with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, who is on an official visit to the United States.

According to trump, the negotiations should be moved to the capital of another country, said the leader of Kazakhstan after a meeting of the UN Security Council. Nazarbayev shared the view of President of the United States that “Minsk-1” was stalled because of a lack of understanding of the negotiating parties. The Nazarbayev hinted that the talks may be moved to Astana.

“Actually it’s originally supposed to be in Kazakhstan. I did the trip to get everyone together so we met there. So we agreed that this direction will work”, — quotes RIA Novosti words of the President of Kazakhstan.

Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed support for the possible introduction of UN peacekeepers into the conflict zone to determine the boundaries. This can increase the level of understanding, said Nazarbayev.
