Recall that the first words in the textbook drew the attention of the Senator from Crimea Sergey Tsekov: the words of a textbook sparked his outrage, he did not understand how to call the revolution “a bloody coup”. Tsekova statement about “just provocative records” was supported by Matviyenko, demanding new expertise for a tutorial.
As a result, the Minister of education and science Olga Vasilyeva sent it for review to the RAS.
Today Znak.com quotes a letter of the Volobueva in his defense. In it the Professor, the doctor of historical Sciences, laureate of the presidential prize in education, honored worker of higher professional education defends its ideological purity. He writes that “in the textbook “History of Russia: XX — early XXI century” no one phrase, provocative. The wording in relation to the Ukrainian events, taken from the first edition of 2015 and presented in the public field as doubtful, was used in the source text only as part of a well-established expression “color revolution”.
Especially Volobuev focuses on the fact that the assessment of the Ukrainian events is given only in a negative way.
Also Volobuev rejects accusations Vasilyeva in ignorance of the historical and cultural standard, alluding to the fact that with him the Minister herself: a description of historical events in this document details brought only before 2012, and later contains only the words on admitting Crimea and Sevastopol to the Russian Federation.
