Studying small meteorite, called “Hypatia”, found earlier in Egypt, experts from the University of Johannesburg has discovered mineral compounds, which, according to them, in a Solar system almost never occur. According to scientists, this may indicate that the space object was formed before the Sun and planets in its orbit, or landed on Earth from afar.
“Hypatia” was discovered in 1996 and named after the philosopher, mathematician and astronomer of Greek descent, who was a bright representative of neo-Platonism. A large part of the currently known meteorite contains large amounts of silicon and too much carbon. In “Hypatia”, on the contrary, a lot of carbon and silicon is small.
In a more detailed study of the composition of meteorite experts have detected polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons included in the composition of interstellar dust and diamonds of a size smaller than micrometer — in all likelihood, they were formed during the collision of the object with the Ground. However, these discoveries were not the most amazing: the attention of researchers was attracted by the inclusions of pure aluminum metal, almost not found in the Solar system. Some chemical compounds, discovered by scientists, has also been found in an unusual form.
According to scientists, “Hypatia” was formed at a temperature not exceeding minus 196 degrees Celsius. He may have formed before the Solar system appeared farther away than the Kuiper belt region, located ten times further from the Sun than the Earth. In any case, experts hope that further study of the object will allow to answer some questions about the past and the “suburbs” of the Solar system.

Not long ago, astronomers first discovered in the Solar system a heavenly body, which, apparently, hit it from the outside, and next again will leave her. Space object was initially mistaken for a comet, but turned out to be an asteroid. Presumably it is covered with a thick layer of organic matter that, most likely, and defended it from destruction during such a long flight. The asteroid received the name 1I/Omului — letter I in its name was introduced for the first time and stands for “interstellar” (interstellar), and the word “Omwamwi” can be roughly translated from the Hawaiian language as “a messenger arrived first from afar.” Some experts even seriously tested the assumption that the space object is a spaceship of aliens, but evidence to support such assertions could not be found.
