In the Duma propose to amend the Agreement on friendship with Ukraine

The first Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian integration and relations with compatriots Konstantin Zatulin has proposed to denounce the Treaty on friendship, cooperation and partnership with Ukraine. According to the MP, the agreement needs to be modified in the part where countries recognize the state border each other.

“By signing this Treaty, Russia in 1997, and then upon ratification in 1999 confirmed that it considers, say, the Crimea and Sevastopol a part of territory of Ukraine”, — said Zatulin.

The MP added that the time between countries now there is no friendship and partnership, and the agreement should be reviewed and re-negotiate, based on today’s realities.
