In the Federation Council called “the meanest revenge” accusations Banionis


First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Frants Klintsevich commented on the accusations against the popular Soviet actor, people’s artist of the USSR Donatas Banionis, who is in Lithuania were accused of working for the KGB.

The Senator expressed the view that publication in the Lithuanian media report about the alleged collaboration of the artist with the secret services provoked by the role of Banionis in the film “Nobody wanted to die”, where he played a former “forest brothers”.

“The truth hurts. Shallow and vile revenge,” – said Klintsevich.
