Lithuanian Prime Minister urged to restore contacts with the Russian Federation

Prime Minister of Lithuania Saulius Squirrels said that in 2018, the country needs to begin to restore contacts with representatives of the Russian authorities.

“We are a unique state of the EU without any, I repeat, absolutely no contact with the government, although other countries, those neighboring States are actively working on economic issues,” said Squirrels.

The statement of the Lithuanian Prime Minister followed a few days after the country’s President Dalia Grybauskaite urged not to fight with Russia, to cooperate and to trade.
