According to him, the decision on the termination of the message can be accepted due to the fact that Russia built a railway line to bypass the Republic. “I think about the final decision, we will be able to report in 2018,” said Omeljan.

The Minister said that at present between Russia and Ukraine runs a Russian (Moscow — Chisinau) and several Ukrainian passenger trains. Don’t forget about the freight, the official said.

Omeljan also said that the damage of Kiev from the termination of Russian trains plying through the territory of Ukraine is just one hryvnia. “At the time, Ukrzaliznytsia signed an agreement with RZD on the actually free transit pass”, — he said.

Railways on December 11, directs all passenger trains on the new railway line zhuravka–Millerovo to bypass neighboring Ukraine. Every day it will go over 120 passenger and 30 freight trains.

Omeljan previously stated that he supports this initiative of Railways, and does not see in it any negative consequences for Kiev. “Let go anywhere, except Ukraine. There is no effect,” — said the Minister.

Construction of double track electrified railway line zhuravka–Millerovo began in 2014 after the deterioration of relations between Russia and Ukraine. The total cost of the project amounted to about 56 billion rubles.
